After graduated from the School of Muisc of the Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts, Amos has worked as a school band teacher and a freelance trumpeter for one year. Later he has got the Sir Edward Youde fellowship which enabled him to study at the Indiana University for a master of music degree. His teachers include Mr. Jonathan Fields, Mr. Henri Nowak, Mr Brian Thomson and Mr Edmund Cord.
