It was quite a long journey after dinner in Kagoshima. We reached the Prefecture of Kumamoto but did not visit the actual city of Kumamoto. When the coach parked by the hotel it was already late in the evening. Not far away lies a big amusement park characterised not by its Ferris wheels, but large windmills used to supply electric power for the entire amusement park. Incredible! That was the King of Amusement Park - Mitsui Greenland (Mitsui literally means three wells). After having unloaded our luggage from the coach we checked in Hotel Verde, a mammoth round-shaped hotel with hot spring facilities.
The amusement arcades were still open and free tickets were available from the hotel counter. We had quite a bit of fun in the arcades before returning to the hotel for a good immersion in the hot springs. Located between the hotel and the amusement arcade is the Ultraman Land. It's a pity it was already closed at that time of the night.
We slept so well that night that it was a bit late when we woke up. We packed
our belongings in a rush and missed breakfast. We had a very long journey
crossing the Kumamoto-Fukuoka, Fukuoka-Saga and Saga-Nagasaki prefectural
borders. Finally we reached the famous Holland Village & Huis Ten Bosch which
are located in
Nagasaki Prefecture.
